January 2024

A Word From Jake:

Happy 2024 to all! I hope everyone had a happy and healthy holiday season, filled with time for family, friends, and self-care. The beginning of the calendar year often starts slowly, with many of our college-aged students still on break and families still recovering from the holidays. Thankfully, we have lots of daytime hours coming down the pipeline - something that many of you have been asking for! If you're looking to take on some additional hours, please let us know; we want to ensure that everyone is as busy as they want to be. Please note that our "busy seasons" often fluctuate, so strike while the proverbial iron is hot! As always, we're here to support and guide, so let us know how we can best help you continue to thrive. Thank you for the amazing work you continue to do for our families!

Best,
Jake

LINKZ Updates:

TutorCruncher:

- Important: January is often when folks delay putting their hours into TutorCruncher, as they've set recurring sessions to stop at the year's end. Another reminder that, during payroll time, it makes a tremendous difference to me and Michelle that hours are in as early as possible (especially with our new surcharge policy in place). Once again, if you don't regularly put your hours into TutorCruncher, I'm imploring you to put sessions in as recurring, and then delete/reschedule the ones that don't occur. If you need any help or guidance on how to do this, please let me or Michelle know.

Office:

- Important: In cases of inclement weather, a reminder that the office is open 24/7/365 (unless Michelle or I send an email for LINKZ Columbia and/or Elisa or Noah send an email for LINKZ Midwest). It's your prerogative to let your clients know if you're unable to make it to the office because of the weather; if an office does close, we will reach out to all tutors and clients.
