• Parent/guardian names, email addresses, phone numbers, and mailing addresses

• Service preferences (virtual or in-person)
• Name, email address, phone number, and mailing address
• Professional qualifications, skills, and certifications
• Availability and scheduling preferences
• Session records, hours worked, and pay information
• Background check results (where applicable)
• Credit/debit card information (processed and stored securely through Stripe)

• Account login credentials (email and encrypted password)

LINKZ uses Twilio, a third-party communications platform, to send SMS/text message reminders related to scheduled tutoring sessions. By providing your phone number and consenting to receive text messages from LINKZ, you acknowledge and agree to the following: Message Types: We send session reminders, scheduling confirmations, and scheduling changes. We do not send marketing messages via SMS. Message Frequency: Message frequency varies based on your session schedule. You may receive messages before each scheduled session, as configured by LINKZ administrators. Opt-Out: You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by contacting us at info@linkzedu.com or by calling 410-290-5955. Please note that opting out of reminders does not affect your scheduled sessions. Costs: Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. LINKZ is not responsible for any charges from your carrier. Data Sharing: Your phone number is shared with Twilio solely for the purpose of delivering SMS messages. Twilio's privacy policy governs their handling of your data. No Sensitive Information: We will never send sensitive personal information, financial details, or student records via SMS.
We do not sell your personal information. We may share your information with the following parties:
• Stripe: For secure payment processing
• Twilio: For SMS/text message delivery
• QuickBooks (Intuit): For accounting and invoicing
• Supabase: For secure database hosting and authentication
• Vercel: For application hosting
• Google Workspace: For email communications
• LINKZ Staff: Relevant staff members are given access to student information relevant to their assigned cases in order to provide services
• Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if required by law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
We take the security of your information seriously and implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect it, including:
• Encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/SSL)
• Secure authentication with domain-restricted access
• Role-based access controls limiting data access based on staff role
• Secure payment processing through Stripe (PCI-DSS compliant)
• Regular security reviews of our systems and practices
While we strive to protect your information, no method of electronic transmission or storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services and fulfill the purposes described in this policy. Specifically:
• Student and case records are retained for the duration of the service relationship and for a reasonable period thereafter for record-keeping and legal compliance
• Payment and billing records are retained as required by tax and accounting regulations
• SMS message logs are retained for operational purposes and to resolve any disputes
You may request deletion of your data by contacting us (see Section 11).
LINKZ provides educational services to minors. We collect information about students (including minors) only with the consent of their parent or legal guardian. We do not collect personal information directly from children under 18 without parental consent. Parents and guardians may review, update, or request deletion of their child's information by contacting us.
